Resize a video for every platform
One video in, the four shapes every feed wants out: 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 and 16:9. Crop it or fill the gaps with a blur or a colour, right in your browser.
How it works
- Pick your video. Any MP4, MOV or WebM. It stays on your device.
- Pick the shapes. Crop to fill, or fit it with a blurred or colour background.
- Download. One MP4 per shape at 30 fps, or all of them in a zip.

Platforms change their limits often. These sizes are safe everywhere at the time of writing. For how long each video should be, see launch video length by platform.
Crop or fill?
- Crop to fill fills the frame and trims the edges. Best when the action sits in the middle, like a talking head or a phone screen.
- Fit with a blurred background keeps the whole picture and fills the gaps with a soft copy of the video. Best for a wide screen recording going into 9:16.
- Fit with a colour does the same with a flat colour, such as your brand colour.
Frequently asked questions
How do I resize a video for Instagram Reels and TikTok?
Pick 9:16 (1080 × 1920). If your video is wide, choose fit with a blurred background so nothing gets cut, or crop to fill and move the crop to the important part.
What is the best video size for LinkedIn?
Square 1:1 (1080 × 1080) or vertical 4:5 (1080 × 1350) take up the most room in the feed on phones. Use 16:9 for longer walkthroughs people watch full screen.
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser with WebCodecs, so the video never leaves your device. That also means there is no file size limit beyond your device's memory.
Is it free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no limit.
Will the quality drop?
Each size is encoded fresh in H.264 at a high bitrate for its pixel count, at 30 fps. Upscaling a small video still looks soft, so start from the largest version you have.
