Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Filmagic collects, why, who it's shared with and the choices you have. Filmagic is run by Benjamin Stanly, an individual based in India, who is the data controller (data fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023).
What we collect

| Website URLs you enter, and the text and screenshots we capture from them | To build your video. Captures are processed to make the video and aren't kept on our servers afterwards. |

| Newsletter email, if you subscribe | To send one short email when new templates land. Unsubscribe any time by replying or emailing us. |
| Basic technical data (IP address, browser, request logs) | To keep the service secure and working, collected by our hosting providers. |
Your projects are saved in your own browser (local storage and IndexedDB), not on our servers. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
Who we share it with
We don't sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that help run Filmagic, for the purposes above:

These providers may process data outside India, including in the United States and the EU. We may also disclose data when the law requires it, or to protect Filmagic, our users or the public.
Cookies and storage
Filmagic uses browser storage only for sign-in, your projects and your preferences. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If that changes we'll update this policy and ask for consent where required.
How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account is open, and deleted within 30 days of you asking us to close it.
- Credit and payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (up to 8 years in India).
- Captures, uploads and script text sent for processing: not stored by us after the request finishes. Our providers may keep request data briefly under their own policies.
- Server logs: kept by our hosting providers for a limited period for security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under India's DPDP Act and the EU and UK GDPR, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, object to or restrict processing, get a copy of your data, and nominate someone to act for you. Email benjaminstanly07@gmail.com. We'll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, API keys stay on our servers, and access to account data is restricted. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects you we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
Filmagic is not for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us data, email us and we'll delete it.
